Four
Aces Fight Club Grand Opening Friday

The
newest Boxing and MMA gym in Southeast Michigan opens next week
with a three day grand opening that starts this Friday.
The
Four Aces Fight Club will feature training in both combat sports
in a 7,500 square foot facility at 22583 15- Mile Road, between
Gratiot and Harper, in Clinton Township.
A
three day grand opening is scheduled for this weekend with activities
on Friday including the appearance of notable professional boxers
Steve Forbes, Ronald Hearns and Anthony Hanshaw and boxing manager
Jackie Kallen. Local musical artist Hush will perform and demonstrations
in both boxing and MMA will take place. Tours of the gym, which
includes both a 22-foot boxing ring and a 24-foot cage, and refreshments
round out the evening
The
gym promises 900 square feet of Swain mats and twenty different
bags, including Muy Thai, grappling bags and throwing dummies, as
well as basic fitness equipment and full locker rooms.
The
new gym is owned by four men – three practitioners of the
sports and one established businessman.
Professional
boxer Luigi Gjokaj is a relative newcomer to the sport but a man
of big ambitions. Sporting a 2-1 record in a career that started
just 18 months ago, after a short amateur stint, the 23-year old
fighter is interested in trying his hand in the caged arena as well
as the square circle and has plans to start his own promotional
company.
Asa
Beard will be the head boxing instructor.
MMA
fighter and coach Greg Parris is the primary Mixed Martial Arts
instructor.
Paul
Mauk brings his business knowledge, obtained throught experience
as a bar and restaurant owner, to the group. He is the owner of
The Detroit Pub, with locations in Detroit, Clinton Township and
Mount Clemens.
