Bonas, Love Win Silver at JO Nationals Although both hoped for just a little more, they will return home with their first national silver after fighting this week at the Junior Olympics tournament in Denver, Colorado. Kronk’s Brandon Love and Joseph Bonas both lost by decisions in Thursdays finals. Both young men had fought and won twice over the past four days before coming up short on the judges’ cards today. Love lost 10-3 to Washington DC’s Antoine Douglas, a bronze medalist at last years tournament, at 145 pounds and Bonas dropped a 7-5 decision to defending champion Eddie Gomez of the Bronx at 154 pounds.
