Meets First Hurdle at Canadian Nationals

City’s Josh Cameron made it past the first hurdle at the 2009
Senior National Championships in Canada on Wednesday.
The
Windsor boxer defeated Alberta, Canada champion Jonathan Andre with
a score of 6-1 tonight (Jan 21) in Trois-Rivières, Quebec
in his first bout of the Senior tournament at 69 kg (152 lbs).
Cameron’s
next opponent will be fellow Ontario boxer and two-time Olympian
Adam Trupish. Trupish, 29, who boxes out of the Windsor Amateur
Boxing Club, is a multi-title holder including winner of the 2007
Senior Nationals.
